Tents in Africa hires out luxury bell and dome tents for festivals, weddings and private events across South Africa. I built their new glamping tent hire website in WordPress in 2026 so visitors can see every tent setup, compare them side by side and start an enquiry in a couple of taps.

Glamping tent hire website for Tents in Africa on desktop and mobile

The brief

The client supplied the design, and my job was to build it in WordPress exactly as designed, so it would work well on desktop and mobile and stay easy to update. A glamping tent hire website sells an experience, so it has to look good. But most visitors also have very practical questions: how many people sleep in a tent, what’s inside it, and how quickly they can get a quote. The design answers those questions quickly and makes it easy to get in touch, especially on a phone.

What I built for the glamping tent hire website

  • A full-screen hero with a background video of the tents at night, with two clear buttons: “Browse our setups” and “Request a quote”.
  • Tent setups grouped by type: bell tents and dome tents, nine setups in total, from a 3m bell tent up to a 5m Lux Plus bell tent with en-suite, plus 2.5m and 3m dome tents.
  • A “Features & furnishings, side by side” section with tabs for bell and dome tents, so visitors can compare what each setup includes without opening several pages.
  • “Talk to a real human, right now”: WhatsApp buttons with a pre-filled message for each type of enquiry: festivals, weddings, private or corporate events, and venues interested in a long-term glamping partnership. The client knows straight away what the chat is about.
  • A sticky WhatsApp and Call bar on mobile, so a phone visitor is always one tap from the team.
  • Reviews and a row of events the company has worked with, as social proof.
  • A quote form (“Let’s create something special”) built with Contact Form 7, plus a separate gallery page.

Tech used

  • WordPress with the lightweight Hello Elementor theme
  • Elementor and Elementor Pro for the layouts, header, footer and the tabbed comparison
  • Contact Form 7 for the enquiry form

A mobile-first glamping tent hire website

Most people planning an event are looking on their phones, often while they chat with friends or a venue. So the mobile layout got as much care as the desktop one. The hero text and buttons are readable on a small screen, the tent cards stack cleanly, and the WhatsApp and Call buttons stay at the bottom of the screen. The pre-filled WhatsApp messages also mean visitors don’t have to work out what to type.

Turning the design into WordPress

I built each section of the glamping tent hire website as an Elementor layout, so the client can change text, photos and tent details from the editor later without touching code. The header, footer and tabbed comparison use Elementor Pro, and the Hello Elementor theme keeps the base light, so the design isn’t fighting a heavy theme. The tent cards share the same structure, so adding a new setup to the glamping tent hire website is simple.

What I’d point out to another business

If your customers prefer to chat rather than fill in long forms, give them that option, and give them a head start. Splitting WhatsApp enquiries by event type is a small detail, but it saves both sides a few messages. A comparison table also does a lot of the selling for you when your products look similar in photos.
